While getting ready for work the other morning, I had NY1 News on in the background.

They now have a Staten Island update (every 14 minutes after the hour?).

Bloomberg was announcing some improvements in Ferry Service (?). I can't recall the exact purpose -- but he added that in addition to this announcement (whatever that announcement was) there was another big plus: Buses would now be scheduled to meet passengers with the ferries!

Was that not the case before?

I suppose I'm lucky that I've never had to rely on the ferry-bus connection. But it still ruffles my feathers that this logical time connection wouldn't have already been in place for as long as the transportation has existed!

I thought it kind of stunk when they blocked off the walk path at the ferry. Then I thought it was about time they they added a new path blocked off from the cars. Then I thought it was interesting when I noticed that the interim pedestrian path was full of construction garbage and blocked off from the pedestrians.

Good luck!
